Fun Fun Fun

Had an awesome time last night at the Lookout.  Danced, played pool and had some of the greatest and funniest conversations throughout the night.

The band for the weekend is Desert Mountain Band and they definitely have no problem keeping the dance floor moving, they even have a fiddle player in the band... Hey, that's a song isn't it?

Well, not sure if I will be heading out and about again tonight, if I do, see ya on the dance floor, otherwise, have a great night and stay safe out there.

Oh, you can find the Cowboy Lookout Grill on Facebook...

Dance the night away...

I almost forgot... I did find a club that not only has some pretty good food and dance lessons, but that also has a live country band on Friday and Saturday, with no cover charge.

The bands change on occasion, but so far the house band would have to be viewed as Justin Wright and The High Octane.  Gary Cox, well he's a hottie!

Ladies, whether you are single or not, this place would have to rank very high on my list of 'Feeling Safe'.  The bouncers are very attentive and will make sure your time there, whether by yourself or with a group of friends is a fun time.  The owners are very personable and even mingle with us commoners... lol.  As for the rest of the staff, well, you need to come out and experience for yourself, awesome, just totally awesome people.

Oh, the club is called Cowboy Lookout Grill.  It's at 16th Street and Bell Road in Phoenix.

Oh and guess what, it's almost Friday now... woo hoo!  See ya on the dance floor.

Surface Bound

I guess I would have to say that my absence has been more along the lines of working things out for myself.  Learning how to move forward in my life without feeling guilty for wanting to do so and coming full circle.

Work is going great, I have an awesome career and I am coming up on my 1 year anniversary, already!  The time sure flies by.

Got myself a nice little place that I am extremely comfortable with and impatiently waiting for the 22nd of the month to arrive which means my youngest daughter will be staying with me for a couple of weeks during her vacation from school.

I am slowly but surely finding that I can actually navigate these roads here in both Phoenix and Scottsdale.  The first few months I was lost a lot!  Thank goodness for GPS!  In fact just this afternoon I was in Surprise, a place that I ended up in when I should have been in Scottsdale a few months back... I was there today as part of a support system for a friend.  She had a few issues come up and needed a friend with her when the results were read.  Nice hospital and I thought I saw a certain drummer person there, but can't be sure, it's been a while and well, it was hot and I could truly only focus on finding a cool place to plop my ass down!  As for my friend, she is fine, all the results came back in her favor... yeah!

My oldest daughter will begin her 23 state tour with the National Drum Corps in the next couple of weeks, excited and yet nervous as all hell for that one.  She's still my baby girl!

Well, can't think of anything else to catch you up to speed with, so until next time, stay cool, stay hydrated and for goodness sake, get out and live your lives!

Weekend... going going.... Gone!

Had a great weekend with Robert.  Spent time at Lake Roosevelt, basically drove in and around Grand Canyon Lake, helped a few canoe carrying folks put their canoes back on the trucks and rescued a few baby Quails not only from the scorching hot pavement but possibly from certain death by being ran over by vehicles.

Despite Robert's recent confession and his attempt to kiss me on Friday, we continue to stay on the path of friends.  I was really concerned that he would not keep his word to me, but thankfully he has 100%.

So here are a few pictures taken of our road trip to and from Lake Roosevelt, as for the Grand Canyon Lake, we didn't really stay out there too long, but will be making our way there on Saturday, so will post pictures after that.
